RON HARRIS

My brother, my late night partner in the brain trust 'Promo Sapien' (as we sit here posting updates at guerrilla monster at 6:02 a.m.), Ronnie is a graphic artist, web designer, and photographer. I give him ideas and he cranks out this site (among many others!).
DAMSELVIS, DAUGHTER OF HELVIS (1994) Ronnie built the "Sarcophiguitarus"
TEENAGE TUPELO (1995) Ronnie built the Treehouse.
SORE LOSERS (1997) Ronnie built the electric chair and throw switch!

But it doesn't stop there! Ronnie has been involved in all my movies since the very beginning.

MIKE HUNKELE

As with Emmy Collins, I met Mike on the set of Milos Forman's PEOPLE VS LARRY FLYNT. Mike's youthful energy (and availability) landed him the title role in Emmy Collins super 8 short JACK THE DIPPER (1997). Mike did everything on SORE LOSERS (including ambient sound design) and appeared on camera as the Hitchhiking hippie that Kerine Elkins kills while mouthing the immortal lines "Bummer."
Later Mike earned the title credit "Weekend Worrier" in SUPERSTARLET A.D. by being Kerine's assistant.

DARIN IPEMA

When all the Guerrilla Monster collaborators arrive in Heaven, Darin Ipema will be given special harp and cloud privileges. I was introduced to Darin by Starlet KRISTEN HOBBS at the Antenna Club in 1993. I was in need of a director of photography but with Darin (an accomplished artist in his own right), I got a whole lot more. Darin shot the remaining scenes of DAMSELVIS, DAUGHTER OF HELVIS (1994), soon being smitten with the movie-making bug (guerrilla-style), moving in with Starlet DAWN ASHCRAFT and me.

Darin became half-investor and DP on TEENAGE TUPELO (95), then got a haircut and pitched in seed money on SORE LOSERS, driving to Nashville to rent an Arri 16 package and lighting/shooting the whole damn thing as well (and btw, we did not shoot in all different formats. The lab LOST some of the film and we had to resort to VHS dailies!). Darin was on hand in Chicago with WHEAT and I for the early stages of the SORE LOSERS edit. Darin also handled half the film chores on INVADER ACE/BUTO BASE/(The GUITAR WOLF videos (1997), and rolled B camera on the explosion scene in SUPERSTARLET A.D. (as well as test footage).

But more than that, Darin was there when we agreed to base the company name on a gorilla monster mask ad from Famous Monsters Magazine. I changed the spelling to reflect 'guerrilla filmmaking' and the rest is unpopular culture. Thanks Darin.

STEVE JONES

An immaculate photographer on the Memphis scene, his local work first graced the city's Commercial Appeal newspaper. Steve's first Guerrilla Monster images were of SUPERSTARLET A.D. in 1998. Steve allowed his studio space for our green screen work on DEFINITELY DOWNTOWN, DESTROY MEMPHIS, MEMPHIS ROLLER DERBY and the first promo images of WARBRIDE. His site contains fantastic images of The Hives, Amy LaVere, Olga, Jim Dickinson, and Cori Dials, among others.

BOWMAN KELLEY

Bowman and I collaborated first on an animated STAX promo spot in 2002: I wanted to see the finger snap! That job led to a karaoke jukebox deal with Stax. Following that, Bowman shot ROCK & ROLL SOUNDTRACK for me, also did a little editing on that too.
Then he helped me compile the DVD menu items for TEENAGE TUPELO. Since Bowman does internet work at the Memphis College of Art, he's also been invaluable with THE FILM CLASS THAT FELL TO EARTH.

CATHERINE KOUZMANOFF

I'd wanted to do a COLOR follow-up to SHINE ON SWEET STARLET called BROAD DAYLIGHT with new music and new starlets, but I never thought I'd get the chance. Then Savannah Raught (who would be instrumental in co-producing my LOSERDOM show) introduced me to business-savy Chicago socialite Catherine Kouzmanoff. Catherine's company Inter7.com created 'internet solutions' for clients all over the world and brought a whole new fresh approach to Guerrilla Monster at mid-decade (2002 - 2004). She and co-producer Ken Jones funded BROAD DAYLIGHT. Catherine (and son Brandon) went on to supply guerrilla monster buttons, business cards, postcards, and starlet appearances, not to mention a premiere or two! The most special occasion being in Miami when we spent a few days with legendary photographer and all around sweetie Bunny Yeager! Catherine also joined us at Miss Eotic World 2003 where much of Broad Daylight was shot (mostly by Victoria Renard on Super 8, of course). The double DVD also contains a remastered edition of SHINE ON SWEET STARLET and tons of extras!
KIM LLOYD

Kim (and Bob Lloyd) produced this lovely piece on RUDOLPH the RED NOSE REINDEER'S creator for her children at Christmas - which has reminded me to produce the upcoming 'POPINION' website (stay tuned) which will utilize her clip. Kim conceptualizes and produces and god knows what else!

IDDO PATT

Iddo has been involved with Guerrilla Monster since 2006. He shot and edited the 14 minute DESTROY MEMPHIS short. I storyboarded the 9-11 commercials: Ambulance and Funeral for his company Modern Productions.

NICHOLAS D. RAY
(aka Nick Diablo)

Having broken into a Iowa campus theatre to screen TEENAGE TUPELO back in '95, Nick travelled down in his van with plans to live in Memphis following our grueling 42 day shoot on the next feature SORE LOSERS. He stayed til 2004 and now lives in NYC. On Sore Losers he performed every function including cook and stand in for Mike Maker.
Nick's various bands including 'DIABLOS DEL SOL, 68 COMEBACK and VIVA L'AMERICAN DEATH RAY MUSIC have played my Vice Parties, The Sore Losers Bash ("Garagezilla") and other charity work.

VICTORIA RENARD

What hasn't been said about Victoria Renard (when her back was turned). Just kidding Vic! Victoria and I met a party (where else) at Starlet KRISTEN HOBB'S house on Meda and have been driving each other crazy ever since. Literally. Soon after Vic photographed Starlet D'LANA TUNNELL in SORE LOSERS, we agreed that Vic's '64 Falcon would carry the SORE LOSERS VICE PARTY TOUR from Seattle back to Memphis. On the way Victoria would shoot burlesque starlets on Super 8 for the eventual SHINE ON SWEET STARLET (98) and later on BROAD DAYLIGHT (03) as well as various starlets (including KELLY BALL and ALICJA TROUT) for the first SYMPATHY FOR THE RECORD INDUSTRY calendar. In 1998 Victoria would photograph SUPERSTARLET A.D. and play the role of Rachel when the main starlet flew the coop (come to think of it, so did KELLY BALL and ALICJA TROUT). Vic has guts and her photography is as beautiful as she is.

CHUCK SCOTT

Great Scott! I met Chuck at Sun Studio following one of my tours. He said he would stay in touch and by god, he did! Even when I started asking him for favors. Chuck is shooting scenes for DESTROY MEMPHIS and, currently working on a SECRET project (shhh!) for Guerrilla Monster.
