Hamburg Germany, 2000: Mike McCarthy hosts a nightclub premiere date which brought out the punk rock tangent and an unusual underground Super 8 clique. A mystery girl assisted McCarthy in filming three starlets with a variable speed Super 8 camera as he directed. the curtain falls... 2003: BROAD DAYLIGHT (the nudie cutie sequel to SHINE ON SWEET STARLET) nears completion. McCarthy thinks to add the German loops but they are nowhere to be found. 2005: FOUND! The German Super 8's are found in an arid closet in the Mohave desert at the home of Emmy Collins - but the film was never processed. There is some doubt that an image remains on the negative. Scottie Diablo then hosts the film at his air-conditioned home until Mike makes it to L.A.. Spring, 2007: Upon his next return to L.A., Mike and Emmy book a session at Pro 8mm to process and transfer the footage. Pro 8 does a super job as usual. The lost films look fantastic! The starlets look better than McCarthy remembered. Late Summer, 2007: Guerrilla Monster will stream the loops with music right here at the site - so stay tuned! p.s.: Hey Germans!
